SB 1301, a bill introduced by Senator Gil Cedillo, is currently sitting in the Governor's office and waiting for his signature.

If signed by the Governor, The California Dream Act (SB 1301) will grant AB-540 students, including U.S. Citizens and undocumented students, the opportunity to apply and compete for financial aid at California public community colleges and universities.  

What Can You Do?

Once approved by the Legislature, Governor Schwarzenegger will have 30 days to pass or veto this bill. For this reason, it is very important that he listens to our voices and knows about the importance and necessity of passing this bill. We must call, write, and e-mail the governor from now until it is signed into law!
